 | | Sharon Hakel-Hatton has spent over thirty years doing what she loves best—teaching and learning, reading and writing. She began her career as a high school English teacher, and after earning her Ph.D. in nineteenth-century British literature and women’s literature, with an emphasis in composition, Dr. Hakel-Hatton began teaching at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. After three decades of teaching writing and literature to high school and college students, Sharon decided to pursue her dream of owning a consulting business and, along with her husband, started CCC Business Writing. When asked why she started the company, she responded: “For the same reasons I chose to be an English instructor. I love the English language, and I have a real desire to help others use it to their advantage. I am also at my best when I am challenged, and CCC Business Writing is my new challenge. I have been thinking about starting a consulting and training business for years, and now seemed like the right time. In today’s business world, with its advanced technology and global economy, good writing skills have become even more important than in the past. Writing is the key to success in corporate America. I want to help business professionals succeed; I want to help them write their way to success.”
